Spending the Nation’s Money

February 23, 2010

The United States has for far too long been hijacking the public’s trust as it shrouds all decisions behind the hollow cry for “national security interests.” Everything that has gone wrong in this country has had to do with who decides how much is spent and on what. Every dollar that the congress has touched has been mismanaged just as every program has left out the key component of providing for the public’s needs. This must stop.

The congress with its public approval rating of only nine (9) percent has become the single most crucial impediment to the ability of the people to survive since this country was founded; exceeding even the criminality of the Federal Reserve in its crimes against the public. (1)

Congress has come to symbolize “Command Headquarters” in the current War upon the World; but in reality it is just another house of cards waiting to collapse. This country could take a page from the campus revolts of the 1960’s and surround their ‘representatives’ home offices. People could set up permanent demonstrations in front of the homes of these supposed representatives, since most cannot get to Washington anyway. One way or another people need to force congress to realize that collectively they are something that needs to resign or be fired, as a first step to taking back this place. A nine percent approval rating means that 91% of the people that congress is suppose to serve are outraged over what is not being done! Too bad that we don’t have the European Parliamentary form of government so that when this government became so disfigured it would have been forced to resign!

Government has tried to cite their priority of not giving the public what it calls handouts; while at the same time failing to fund any of the government mandated social-programs that were enacted to prevent the exact situation which we are faced with now. Congress, the banks and the insurance companies want to remove social security altogether, (after they forced the public to bail them out) while at the same time taxing a massive new set of targets that will amount to taxing people again and again and again on top of the other taxes which have already been paid. In the case of phone company taxes and charges the current crop of new taxes will probably equal the size of the phone bills once they are all added into what people will be required to pay on top of what they already pay in this new and fraudulent bid to crush the last bit of remaining commercial life out of this country. (2)

Small businesses can only survive if people have something left over after the essentials to buy something else: this new proposal will kill what remains of small business just to keep this criminal-enterprise of too-big-too-fail corporations-in-collusion-with-too-criminal-to-succeed government: The net result of this unholy alliance cannot be other than the total collapse of this country.

The reason that this process is so difficult to fight is largely because all employers are forced by law to withhold taxes from every employee. This makes it impossible for employed-individuals to control either the payment or the withholding of their taxes, in any type of financial protest against the government that cannot be addressed in any other way. The money is collected in advance of being owed, from every paycheck, because those taxes go directly to the Federal Reserve to pay the interest required by the private owners of the Federal Reserve Bank, as the price of printing our own money. This entire charade happened because of yet another congressional screw-up back in 1913 which saddled every person in this country with the huge cost and interest that goes with every dollar that is printed. On top of that "there is no law that the government can show which proves that anyone who works must pay an income tax on their own labor: in fact the current IRS practices are actually prohibited by the US constitution, as is clearly shown in this documentary. (3)

On the foreign policy front the US has been spending money as if we were a thousand times richer than we are. We are in two openly hostile wars that we are still losing even after nine years of fighting; and apparently we are trying to start additional wars in at least five other places to buttress the phony claims for the necessity of these first two wars that actually had no real justifications in the first place, for either war. That money could easily have been productively spent here on jobs, for health-care, or infrastructure or in all three areas, far more productively than in the way it has been so contemptuously squandered on the secret no-bid contracts—the new hallmark of America’s never-ending war-making powers. (4)

Afghanistan, the wrong direction, in the wrong place at the wrong time, with no exit strategy or any real-end-in-sight, despite the 700 bases we have built there for a King’s ransom of a price, that we can never finish paying for with either blood or money. That’s because the only way out of Afghanistan is to engage in real negotiations that are not controlled by the US or its puppets on the ground. And as if that is not enough, this morning yet another armchair general this one in Iraq, is saying that the troops that are due to leave Iraq will probably stay if the fighting continues—despite the fact that there can never be a military-victory in that country either. The United States has failed utterly to understand even the first principles of Sun Tzu or the Art of War; because we have engaged in war not to win, but simply to continue the bloodletting so that the contracts keep being fulfilled and the illicit money continues to grow in the pockets of the elite and their dirty little friends that have supported all they continue to seek to achieve. (5)

The public must become physically involved in changing what is happening to this nation on every front. Please read the first footnote and then consider whether or not you think that these creatures will ever stop of their own accord? Glance at the list in footnote two, and ask yourself if you think that you can actually absorb all these additional invasive and near-criminal taxes on top of what we already pay because congress has failed so utterly to administer the public’s business now, for the last ten years?

An entirely new direction must be found and new goals must be targeted by the public in order to turn this country around 180 degrees from this suicide course that congress, the courts and the executive puppet have laid out for us to follow to very early graves. No nation that fails to hear the voice of its own people can ever be either free or successful, and there are no exceptions to this fact, as it is one of the unwritten laws of nature.

We have earned this place in which we find ourselves at this moment because since LBJ we have consistently failed to prosecute the criminals in our midst. We let Nixon off, and then we failed to impeach Reagan or Clinton (for the real reasons for which he was never charged). Then it became Bush Jr., Cheney, Rummy, Rice and Nancy Pelosi – all of whom ought to be rotting in Federal prisons for the rest of their lives – at the very least. But we have turned away from confrontation or even from strong language because we so desperately wanted everything to just return to “being alright.” That could never happen once this pattern-of-criminality was firmly established: Hell the New World Order knew what we would not do, and why we would not rebel, which was the same thing as granting them a license to steal everything; which of course they continue to do with massive impunity. They have succeeded because we have proven ourselves to be cowards when it comes to owning up to what has been done in our names.

The latest outrage was in Haiti where we have allowed 300,000 people to die from neglect rather than to demand that our promises of aid be fulfilled on the ground where it counts; instead of listening to the lies of those agencies that claim that ‘we’re getting them what they need.’ If this is the best that we can to for people that are dying of thirst and starvation not to mention exposure to the elements, then we deserve the government we have now who are nothing more than common-thugs masquerading as office-holders in the most corrupt Republic since ancient Rome just before it fell. The‘Americans’ that I grew up with would have fought these bastards at every turn; but of course most of them are dead now and the next few generations are mostly made of gutless shadows that seem to feel the need to hide from everything that might directly contradict the so-called lives they are still trying to have, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Cowards die a thousand times, the courageous only once. What we seem to forget is that we will all die one day and what matters most is not the fact of death, but how we live the life we have been given. I prefer not to live what’s left of my life on my knees with criminals: What about you?
