“Miraculously, the Israelis manage to fail to grasp that Israel had been erected at the expense of the Palestinian people, on Palestinian land, on Palestinian villages, towns, fields and orchards. The Israelis do not realize that Palestinians in Gaza and in refugee camps in the region are actually dispossessed people from Ber Shive, Yafo, Tel Kabir, Shekh Munis, Lod, Haifa, Jerusalem and many more towns and villages. If you wonder how come the Israelis don’t know their history, the answer is pretty simple, they have never been told. The circumstances that led to the Israeli Palestinian conflict are well hidden within their culture. Traces of pre-1948 Palestinian civilization on the land had been wiped out. Not only the Nakba, the 1948 ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinians, is not part of the Israeli curriculum, it is not even mentioned or discussed in any Israeli official or
academic forum. (1)
You don't have to 'teach a nation’s history' when the people making it are the ones with their fingers on the triggers: especially if that ‘country’ is only sixty years old. The Attacks on Gaza, soon to be expanded to the West Bank, come from a long history of exactly the same behavior, committed against the same people over the last 60 years. To even hint that the population of Israel is ignorant of their own history is ludicrous.
Israeli citizens know their history because every citizen of Israel must serve two years in the military in that tiny place. In those years of military service that both men and women must serve, it is a virtual certainty that no one in an Israeli uniform could have escaped the basic knowledge of what Israel has done and is doing throughout its so-called existence.
While there is no doubt that some Israeli citizens vehemently oppose the latest slaughter [500 dead Palestinians to 5 dead Israeli's]; and the 80 per cent of Israeli's that support this war-crime in Gaza must be made to answer to the world for their continuing support of this genocidal slaughter.
US taxpayers have given vast sums of money in aid to Israel [this amounts to $2 million] for every person in that country - yet the people of Gaza have no electricity, 70 per cent of the population has no water, there is no medicine, and especially there are no political or military observers that are not Israeli’s. If, as Israeli president and terrorist Shimon Perez said yesterday, "There is no humanitarian crisis in Palestine" - then why not allow the international press to go in and see for themselves, with cameras.
A country with as vile a history and as corrupt a past as Israel has had since 1948; can never be taken at their word for anything as important as this continuing war-crime. Here are some of the more memorable events that lots of people 'remember' - including the people that committed them. The Palestinians are first (2) and then the Arabs in separate footnotes. (3)
There is proof that the differences being claimed by Israel of what they are “facing” from the continued rocket attacks on Israel, versus what Israel is doing to the Palestinians in Gaza, is made graphically clear in this link. (4)
Then there is Hasbara, the Israeli term for how to lie to the world.
“Hasbara refers to the propaganda efforts to sell Israel, justify its actions, and defend it in world opinion. Using contemporary euphemisms, it is Public diplomacy for Israel, or using a pejorative interpretation, then it is apologia. Israel portrays itself as fighting on two fronts: the Palestinians and world opinion. The latter is dealt with Hasbara. The premise of Hasbara is that Israel's problems are a matter of better propaganda, and not one of an underlying unjust situation. (5)

News: Israel drops thousands of leaflets over Gaza: The leaflet reads: Dear people of the Gaza Strip, Bear the responsibility for your
fate.”
