In
all the recent Hell surrounding this government's attempts to instill
relentless fear and general terror in the population; the corollary for
this deadly warning has gone 'missing-in-action.' Because while actual
physical 'security is extremely important, the other half of that equation
is that each of us must also live our lives to the fullest extent
possible. Yet nothing is ever mentioned about what we should be doing.
Only those things that are carefully itemized under the word
"NO" are mentioned as part of what we must do with our lives.
The USA has become the champion "State of NO," in a world where
trust and personal responsibility have nearly vanished.
Wherever we go, whatever we do,
we are constantly being told again and again about all the things that we
must not do. We are never encouraged to ask questions or to think for
ourselves: never told that we can resolve issues with corporations,
privatized enterprise, government agencies or indeed any of the
bureaucracies that have virtually taken over our lives. Instead we are
advised that all these things require lawyers, and a great expense of time
and money just to obtain that which ought to be due each of us, under the
terms and conditions of our paper-form of government.
However lawyers should not be
necessary to get answers from those agencies of the government who
supposedly provide the services we all need just to exist. When people are
abused, neglected or shortchanged by the system-there ought to be an
ombudsman to represent those that have fallen through the cracks. To this
end Michael Moore has just made a film about the need to eliminate one of
the most corrupt and criminal "services" that roughly
two-hundred and fifty million Americans have subscribed to, and are paying
for: 'that' is the medical insurance industry, the HMO's and their private
hospital services that have failed miserably to serve those who pay for
medical insurance coverage. Moore's solution is to dissolve these for
profit, often non-profit organizations that regardless of the legal form
those companies have chosen to take-are all making ungodly sums in profits
by denying services to those who have paid in advance for their services. (1)
Americans pay dearly in taxes,
the lower the income the greater is their share of the taxes paid in, and
yet we get virtually no services for all that money. This was the hidden
bonus for the wealthiest among us in the new policies created by
"privatization." Everything from the condition of our roads and
highways to drinkable water, to protection from these privatized
nightmares that have each created their own "income-streams"
from the services that most people need to simply exist.
Government is a private partner
with every citizen in whatever the citizen earns or owns. But that
partnership is not one that is equal in nature. The government only takes:
it does not "give-back" in the form of services or benefits in
any way. And with every passing year their extortionist "take"
is increased in so many little ways that it has become nearly impossible
for people to ever roll-back these quiet increases in the extortion that
most must pay. This entire travesty is based on a two-tiered society that
rewards the rich and powerful and penalizes the less fortunate at every
turn of the screws that have bolted most of us to the drudgery of poverty
in so many ways.
The Congress of the USA was meant
to be our Public Complaint Department - the one place that citizens could
go for relief from the unjust and often impossible burdens that the
government and the privatized world of mega-profits have created-in order
to crush our will to fight them-precisely because this duality represents
an overwhelming force of unlimited powers to legally use armies of
lawyers, under the protection of bought and paid for 'representatives that
will not challenge the wealthy or the powerful.
Here are some further examples of
what it means to "Fail to Question."
"I live a few miles from
Plainfield (home of the Browns). I expect they'll end up dead just like
the folks at Waco and Ruby Ridge! People will go on about their bitching
and moaning about the guberment, and not even notice. Nobody here, except
my 86 year old friend, has even bothered to contribute a remark to the
state's largest paper (Union Leader). Our local paper doesn't have a thing
about this possible murder - nor does it appear that our local sheriff or
state legislators (435 of them) care to try and stop this siege and
potential bloodbath? We laud ourselves here on being the 'live free or
die' state.
The Browns must have believed
this? Other than not having to wear seat belts, and being able to ride a
horse while drunk - we're no more free than anybody else. Try not getting
your car inspected, registration, etc, or not paying your taxes (doesn't
matter what hardship you're having). Hell they shot a guy down in
Brattleboro, Vermont in a church and there (except for his close friends
and family) NO regional outcry - nor did anybody remark, when police shot
a mentally ill man in the woods last year (Vermont). Should the Browns
live to have a news conference, it'll go unread (IF reported). Our local
politicians (some state reps) feel that it's a badge of honor to NOT read
the paper............it might explain why there's such a disconnect with
the people? Imagine - no matter what you feel about (most people haven't a
clue as to the issue or how our federal reserve came into being), their
stand ---- what insanity is it to KILL people over useless money? (2)
Hell on Sept 10 - 2001
Rumsfeld stated that the Dept of Defense couldn't account for $ 2.3
TRILLION dollars! You didn't see Swat Teams surrounding the Pentagon. Then
we had Sept 11 and the Trillions got forgotten - instead they'll KILL the
Browns and NOBODY will give a damn. You don't see a siege on Halliburton
with the BILLIONS that they've stolen or the NINE billion + missing under
(Pro-Counsel) Bremmer's watch in Iraq. He lives in Vermont - no siege
there. He was given the Medal of Freedom for his ineptness and
irresponsible LOSING (or whatever) of BILLIONS." JM
In situation after situation, the
government of the USA does whatever it pleases and ignores whatever it
finds inconvenient to answer; and the public for its part too often just
shrugs. Remember Katrina?
"New Orleans Seeks
Foreign Aid To Help Rebuild City And finally, New Orleans is turning
to foreign aid to help rebuild the city nearly two years after Hurricane
Katrina. The city is talking to more than five countries because the
federal government in Washington has been so slow in sending assistance.
As of last week, the city said it had received just over half of the $320
million FEMA has obligated for rebuilding the city." Democracy Now,

What does it take to get the
public to care about anything-anymore? Perhaps Michael Moore's new film
might actually begin this process, if the public could at last come to
understand the intentional criminal abuse being protected and encouraged
by both the government and these privatized pirates that have stolen the
public's right to decent and affordable health care. On top of all this
trouble here there are also the potentially destabilizing positions that
this country is funding throughout the Middle-East. And because that
situation has become routine, the headlines inside that crisis tend to
cloud the revelations of criminality that keep coming to light over there.
"Ex-Abu Ghraib
Investigator: Rumsfeld Knew
The former Army General who led
the Pentagon's first investigation into the abuses at Abu Ghraib has
revealed that he was forced to retire because his report was too critical
of the U.S. military. In his first interview since then, Major General
Antonio Taguba told investigative journalist Seymour Hersh that former
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld mislead Congress about the Abu Ghraib
investigation, minimizing how much he knew about the abuse and torture.
Taguba also said the military has unpublished photographs and videos that
show the abuse and torture was even worse than previously disclosed.
Taguba said he saw a video of a male American soldier in uniform
sodomizing a female detainee. Taguba said he was blocked from
investigating who ordered the torture at Abu Ghraib. He said: 'These M.P.
troops were not that creative. Somebody was giving them guidance, but I
was legally prevented from further investigation into higher authority. I
was limited to a box.' " Democracy Now June 18, 2007
If we continue to "Fail to
Question" the government, then whatever they do to any of us will
soon become beyond our ability to correct. Either the USA has a government
with laws that apply to all of us - or we have already become just another
police-state that uses words like 'democracy' and 'freedom' to conceal a
growing series of crimes and treasons that will bring us down as surely as
the sun shall rise tomorrow...
