The Barbarians - Still Unopposed!

June 7, 2006

The month of May was the bloodiest month in Iraq since the latest Invasion began - yet the White House response to the unfolding investigations of numerous murders (committed under cover of "war"), has been to concentrate on a proposed Constitutional Amendment that would outlaw "Gay Marriage." The last time most of us looked Murder has always trumped social conventions - at least in any sane and respectful world. Score one for the Barbarians! The Supreme Court has ruled that government employees have no right to be protected by the US Constitution, whenever they try to report on government abuse within the government ~ another novel and completely illegal act from this Supremely Callous and Barbaric Court of last appeal, for all things legal in these fractured States of the Un-United in America. Score another blow against freedom and the creation of one more brick in the wall of tyranny.

Today, 666 - is the day of Primary Elections in most states, and as yet there has not been a public debate anywhere about the most serious issue of the last five years: The Invasion of Iraq, and American actions as the occupying force inside that now warn torn country.

This international disgrace does not even merit an open discussion of any aspect of this continuing crime against the Iraqi people, or what this might mean regarding the War-Crimes-Against-Humanity.

Elections that are not about the things that define the character and responsibilities of government policy, or national ambitions - cannot be considered valid in the complexity that passes for life today. This topic is the most tangled one that Americans have ever faced - because the War on Iraq came from a policy of lies and deceptions that has grown to become a global destabilization of law and order that has today descended into the fringes of chaos, around the world. Yet American politicians choose not to discuss these issues - and the public refuses to DEMAND that those debates be held. This cowardice signals the end of the two party system and the triumph of incumbency politics. When there is no organized resistance to whatever the leadership does - including the total destruction of the Constitutional form of government upon which American "leadership" was supposedly based, then there is no longer a participatory democracy in this Republic.

Score two for the Barbarians, one for successfully gagging the timid and unthinking American public, and another for completely shutting down all discussion of reality, both criminal and domestic.

This was confirmed when Bush began to add his "signing statements" to the legislation that he signed - basically over-ruling (rather than vetoing in over 750 cases) each piece of legislation that he disagreed with. That's a Dictatorship in action, and directly contradicts the Constitutional form of government that supposedly governs the USA.

This new "leadership by decree" also violates the pledge of Office taken by Congress, by members of the Supreme Court, and by the Executive branch of the federal government - "to protect and defend the Constitution and the people of the United States from all enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC" - and since all this would have to be discussed in any serious debate: neither political party, nor any major media outlet has come forward to DEMAND a debate on these issues. Yet it is precisely this conduct, by those who were supposed to protect against the very things that they have done to all of us - which is at the core of all this blood upon all our hands, along with those we sent to Iraq to do what they are doing - in the name of "Freedom & Democracy."

In light of the fact that this is one of those few times that Americans can go to the polls -

and that virtually none of the candidates have devoted any ad space to voting records about either the war or the withdrawal of any troops - How can this obscenity then be "scored"? Looks like a lop-sided victory for the Barbarians - again!

There is one other "problem" that is pivotal: That's the actual responsibility for the specifics of all that has happened. In the latest allegations about military misconduct (Murder, as resistance hunting) - the "Chain-of-Command" has come up as being something that needs to be examined for its part in creating these chapters from the military version of "Lord-of-the-Flies." To be sure, those troops who did the killing will be charged, but that is really not the issue. The question has to be why troops were allowed to repeatedly conduct this brutal Barbarity - with no fear whatever of any reprisals.

The Chain-of-Command exists to prevent this kind of crime, by making those-at-the-top responsible for the deeds of the lowest members of the force being used. Cheney-Bush and Rummy want no part in any responsibility, as the punishment if convicted, is Death. But the national media has also played a huge part in creating an atmosphere of hate and race-baiting around issues that did not initially exist: This tends to be the case whenever any nation totally lies about the wars they initiate - then continues to lie when it all begins to fall apart. That was why America created the Nuremberg Tribunals after WWII - to establish responsibilities and to punish those who made the war crimes possible, along with those who did the killing. (That included the Nazi Media then) Today this would be FOX News, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and yes PBS, all of whom have lied repeatedly, whether by misdirection, by omission or simply by parroting the administration's lies.

If those US soldiers, sailors, airmen, or marines are ever charged, in any of the ongoing investigations: then their superiors (at the very top) must also be charged for the policies they created - Policies that in reality led directly to the murder and sometimes rape and torture, of all those that have been slaughtered so indiscriminately. Also these "leaders" should be charged for placing targets on the backs of all Americans, both in and out of uniform - because by insuring that their polices are carried out - that is exactly where those actions have taken us all! That none of this has willingly been discussed, as topic number one in America - during this Primary election season - speaks volumes about a people who are supposed to care about what is being done in their names. Americans are a people that profess to care about humanity around the world. Maybe that only applies to those people that we are not currently killing. It certainly isn't true of what Americans are doing to every man, woman and child in Palestine - that would be an entire people that we intend to starve into submission to those same failed policies that we have adhered to in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If America were one-tenth the nation that we claim to be - then the public would have demanded the removal of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, and all the members of this cabinet as

a prelude to impeachment: But we can't even openly discuss the truth anymore - because the fascist state now frowns on all conflicts with their policy.

America is no longer a nation; we've become nothing but a bunch of self-absorbed seekers after money-and-power-at-any-price. The citizens of the USA that have approved the actions of this president have forfeited the right to call themselves humans. The rest of the world sees what we do everyday and they are largely disgusted by the fact that people here will not call this government to account. People simply can't stomach the treason and the treachery the USA now practices around the world, nor should they. Americans have become gutless-wonders who have given over their very lives into the hands of treasonous murders-for "protection" of all things! How sick is that?

Some have said that nothing bad would happen on 666 - a fascinating comment: If by "nothing" they meant progress toward taking back the country, then I would agree. But this election milestone is saying to America and to the World, far more than anyone still alive will want to hear: It is saying that America has lost its heart, and lost both its courage and its soul, if indeed this country ever had one!
