We all try to live in so many worlds
at the same time that it is amazing to think that we have any time leftover
for any real life at all. Humans have many centers within themselves from
which to explore whichever world (or worlds) they personally want to
experience. What then seems to happen is that because of overlapping
desires, of critical needs - or just the sheer weight of frustration that
seems to crush whatever path is chosen - too many are simply overwhelmed. .
.
In the very dim past of the mutual
histories of humankind, it can be easily seen that people have four basic
points that contribute the most to how one's life is lived. Body, Heart,
Mind and Spirit - are all major parts of each of us - and yet these are not
always in agreement. When we truly learn something, about ourselves, that
knowledge usually comes from what is learned when two or more of these
basic paths intersect. That was once a basic touchstone in society, a
recognized feature of growth and development in a world that existed before
television, before mass communications, and even before the Agricultural
Revolution.
Fast forward to these blindingly
fast times that seem to know no boundaries, and the entire cultural vista
has been totally altered. Today is as different from our mutually related
history, as Orwell's 1984 differs from Victor Hugo's Les
Miserables. Both are about the human condition, yet one is future oriented
and was a fiction, while the other is fact based and purports to track some
real events. But to write anything about conditions now requires a base
knowledge that "understands" the new paradigm. This is a parallax view -
one with three faces among a multitude of masks, with very few
similarities: The only common denominator within all this is that all these
masks are about the lives of a lot of people - many of whom have forgotten
that those masks - must one day be removed!
The latest addition to the 21st
Century and beyond is the Internet, and all that this innovation has now
globally enabled. Mostly computers are used to access pornography, or to
buy things, but it has also become an Alternative Media for news and
information that does not make it onto the pages or the screens of
traditional mass media. Those who follow world events in this way have
become aware of severe and crushing realities that the rest of humanity
apparently does not see. It is this disconnect that has immeasurably
created the unreality of the other two "worlds" that most people are tying
so hard to live in now.
The second mask in the hourglass
that represents this moment is about a world where people are trying to
continue to live as they did before the Internet. In this place where so
much of what was done, was based on completely different ethics, totally
different concepts about work and promise and dreams; than anything that
still exists today. So this group seems to be locked in a time-warp that
constricts their ability to discern what is happening, because the way the
world is moving now is so far beyond anything they could have imagined -
that "what IS happening" is simply beyond-the-pale of what's
possible for them to grasp. This goes to the simple phrase "It can't
happen here!" But despite what their senses are telling these people -
in their heart of hearts they know that "this is real!" Yet -
most of these people keep right on living as though their schedules matter,
as if their routines will take place as planned, and their dreams will be
realized - despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. This group
does not want to know how badly flawed the information is on which they've
based their current personal beliefs-therefore the arguments against their
plans must be wrong!
The third mask reflected in the
nearly empty hourglass is of those who are attempting to live the messages
sent by those who control the media, the money, and the military. This
group is heavily into denial, and deeply committed to things commercial,
competitively chic, and cluelessly short-term. For most of this group
history is irrelevant, money is paramount, and morality is as passé as
yesterday's news. Gossip, Celebrity and Pipe-Dreams are what fill the
chatter on their cell phones, while their minds grow fallow from disuse. In
this world purchasing becomes an art-form, and acquisitions are the only
symbol of success. "The Journey" of one's life is of no
consequence, because the spotlight of fame and fortune, they believe, lies
just ahead. In any case as most of this group is still youthful, they
consider themselves and their "friends" to be living proof of the
rightness of all their beliefs ~ which makes all the doubts of others just
background noise for that ultimate success in all that they believe they
will absolutely "one-day" have.
There are commonalities between
these last two groups - their inability to question - this comes directly
from an over-exposure to the propaganda, and lies that buttresses how they
think they think; and by which they embrace the choices they routinely
choose. Mostly this group has been indirectly told what to think,
programmed by a system that has re-written history to reflect very little
of what-really-happened anywhere: Imagination in too many with this mask,
has become a quick-sand of indecision, a dead-pool where the fertile parts
of being human goes to die. From the real history of the US, right down to
current deployments of US troops in an increasingly hostile global
worldview. Politics, the actual future of money and investments, based on
the true costs of how we're using up the resources of the planet, and
slaughtering the many that are demanding that we stop the colonial push of
new-capitalism from taking over all that promise that once belonged to all
the people everywhere.
Another disconnect that ties these
last two groups together is their willingness to let others do their deeper
thinking for them. In every generation there are always some who question,
some who challenge and some who can lead the larger population to new
highs. These individuals have been targeted for elimination. In most other
places that process has been brutal and is blood-soaked round the world.
Here this has taken more subtle forms by using the four elements of
humanity against each individual, according to whichever of the elements
are uppermost. Dreams can be stolen, just as jobs can be sent offshore.
Occupations have been absorbed by machines and by computers, just as whole
career-fields can be disappeared. Human rights and liberties have been
shackled and gagged, just as "fashions" have been used to eliminate beauty
and to elevate the hordes. So whether it's Body, Heart, Mind or Spirit -
all those aspects can be controlled and diminished to fit within those
personal (even if transparent), prisons, in which all Hope can finally be
extinguished.
So it is that we live and move
through graveyards of the un-living, amid faceless mobs of pod-people with "nothing" on their minds. Daily the cities are invaded by commuters, that
huge number of fugitives that have opted-out of city life for a special
kind of hell - or perhaps just a limbo called commuting - in which there is
no life except the physical movement of a body from one place to another.
So they race between job and home, and have no time to do either very well:
yet they believe that this is "life" and are unwilling, for the
most part, to reconsider. Here sameness is a virtue, and the party-line is
sacrosanct, be that corporate or political, as there can be no deviation
from the dictates that have taken over where "individuals" used to be.
What is lost in this confusion are
those things that keep people motivated and alive! Human dreams have to do
with doing something that contains real meaning (personally) beyond just
money. The people that they care about, and those events that mark the
passage of any other life besides their own: not to mention whatever it
might be that anyone actually owes to those who have been displaced or
maimed or slaughtered - just to enable how so many choose "to live" today.
The criminality, the brutality, the inhumanity of the world now will not
allow the herd to catch a whiff of death or view the literal slaughter of
so many who were only in the crossfire's of the wars and in political
situations in which they had no part at all - except as road-kill on the
path to power.
These things have left their marks
upon the unwritten pages of history that are recorded in the hearts and
minds of those who loved the victims: and no amount of spin or bribery
shall erase the truth of what so many have done to elevate the riches of
the very few.
This "life" that is given to each
of us, this fantastic personal mystery that we did not choose for ourselves
is not something that "others" should be allowed to trash with such
vehemence on the one hand: and with such contempt on the other. The
artificial hierarchical ladder of superiority is nothing but a construct -
because in nature there is no real difference that is bequeathed by birth.
NO people are intrinsically "better" than any other people.
Consequently the disaster that humans have made of the world situation now,
is all the more severe because it is based on literally nothing at all -
while the sheer act of the existence of such treachery confounds those who
care at all about anything worth doing. . .
"The Economy's" of this
world are lies because they do not measure the real costs of anything
"produced." What people actually create can be patented, as a way
to reward human ingenuity and creativity. Now corporations, with the help
of the Courts, have perverted that process to include "the right"
to patent other life forms: seeking control over the food, the water and
the air we all must breathe. Currently science seems determined to begin to
create life in the laboratory - ostensibly to begin replacing those parts
of life that either do not follow the commands of the self-appointed, or to
enable things to live that do not answer to the nature of actual life
itself - like Super-killer troops, or human lab-rats that can be killed
with impunity to further more un-needed medicine in an artificial world
that is consumed by frustration, by unholy fears and a world that is marked
by deep depressions that have changed the way we view responsibility.
In brief the human race has
overstayed its welcome on this planet - having begun now to alter the
eco-systems, the bio-systems, and even the rhythms of the ocean's currents.
We have created so much death and destruction in the name of
"profits" that the entire structure of what we say we
"value" has become a global farce that no sane person can
condone.
Now we've added the final tipping
point to our primitive and totalitarian ways - religions are now reason -
for the destructions of whole peoples, along with other races, other
interests and other cultures. How far we have fallen and still it remains
"unspeakable to even question" what we do for money, lust, and
greed! Cowardice has replaced pride in accomplishments, just as
Individuality has been murdered by the concepts inherent in being a
"Team Player" at the expense of any real purpose or achievement
in life or occupation.
The beauty in the Masks - is that
one day they must come off-just as all parties must eventually end, from
exhaustion if from nothing else. The ancient's: the Romans, the Egyptians,
the Greeks, the Chinese, and even the less ancient but just as flawed, the
Mayan's the Toltec's and the Inca. Every people that over-reached their own
needs at the expense of the viability of their own ways have met the same
end - how can anyone alive today not know the simple facts? That's easy if
the populace has no interest in the history, no real interest in anything
beyond themselves-and no desire to learn!
Commerce has had its day, and will
die accordingly with the collapse of the banks that will follow the
monetary crash that looms not far away. The distraction of the wars, along
with the new ones being contemplated, continues to grow and yet already
they have reached the end of possibilities and shall collapse into the
chaos they created. This must happen because the human race is being led by
criminals and murderers, by men and women without conscience, mind or
purpose, beyond the greed and violence in their every touch. Strange as it
sounds the human race cannot survive without truth, without freedom, and
especially without dreams of one's own to cherish and pursue: Today we are
living in a Prison-Planet that others built for us - with our own money,
and indirectly with our too willing permission that we instantly gave them,
out of that cowardly fear of what they created for us to fear.
"Programming" is not an excuse that can hold back the enormity of
this sell-out of ourselves that has brought us to this point! This was done
that we should become the assassins of our way of life - willingly doing -
what Americans say they would never allow others to do to us: This is so
bizarre!
It is not an oh-so-clever "enemy"
- too many have clearly seen through the smoke and mirrors. No this is
about the serious conditioning of the public to accept the unacceptable, to
drink the Hemlock that is offered with the raising of the flag each day.
And to the amazement of the few - behold America has swallowed all of it!
The shoddy and deceitful congress, the criminals in every major post of
government - all together in an orchestrated chorus that always shuns the
public, and yet continues unabated with the filth and murder that we now
call liberty and justice. That "one-crime-too-many" is coming, with the
approaching storms of crisis in nearly every area of what was once called
Life! The sooner reality gets here the better - for the planet, and for
people everywhere!

actions do not matter:
