Too Many Warnings - Too Little Time!

"BEWARE- the lean and hungry lion: For in the dusky shadows of success, where ambitions seeds no longer grow - hunger will conceive the deeds that shall succeed - from that self-same place where challenge died!"

"Beware the Ides of March" because it looks as though we are headed for a re-run of that ancient Fall of Rome. It's fascinating that the Outlaws have finally fallen victim to their own PR. Believing now, wholeheartedly, that this will be a simple little task and an overwhelmingly successful little war. Well - "WHY NOT!" they scream at all the unbelievers.

The answer is so simple that it makes the adults among us cry. Because we say; -the world's a fragile living thing, an interactive and dependent place that cannot stand so many military movements, the hate, the fear, the ever-increasing 'security-consciousness.' We've sown the whirlwind and now we'll reap the wrath and ravages of all our worst ambitions.
The innocent will die in overwhelming numbers. The petty vicious outlaws will also die - but the price for all of this will be borne by the entire world - for many, many generations.

According to the World Food Bank, there are now 800 million people that are starving, and our 'leaders' first thoughts were of more war. That's an unbalanced approach to life, and it's a criminal act against humanity. We are treating 'the future' as though it was 1918 with the grim demeanor our Thief-in-Chief proclaiming, that we shall "Seek out and Destroy Terrorism" as if we could kill the inbred hatred of the last 50 years with bullshit, lies and bullets. This entire administration needs to be rounded-up and confined to a mental institution for the rest of their natural lives. To legally execute these twisted wannabes would be far too kind.

The problem here is that it does not matter what they do. They can cheat to win elections in broad daylight. They can sell the same arms to Saddam that they are now bitching about. They can destroy the Constitution and the Bill of Rights - right before our eyes - while they give tax cuts to the filthy rich right even as two-thirds of the states are overdrawn. They can stop freedom of speech and imprison the innocent - and on and on. None of this matters, because Americans have no moral stomach for the most part. The sickness in America is that we are filled with self-hatred from the 'have and have not society' we've created.

Most of Dubya's supporters have deep layers of inadequacy buried deep in the festering and cancerous core of hatred, which is their stock in trade. If one looks closely - at what is the best way for this kind of person to feel good, it's that IG (instant gratification-takes-too-long) that is their answer? Hate someone now, or something else - that is their solution.
And since attention spans have been abbreviated by intellectual laziness, we must now look for relief in instant minutia that can get us through this bout of self-despisal and close that little window that will lead us back to 'normal' once again.

But the bottom line is - the Outlaws could set up a line of innocent people before a firing squad on CNN, and if the story was spun that these people are bad because well, 'we just know they are,' then Americans will believe them. This information is out there everywhere - the crimes are out there everywhere. The day the trade centers fell, it was clear for all to see. The orchestrated collapse of those towers, the obviously controlled demolition of the buildings, even the one that wasn't hit with a plane. The U.S. fighter aircraft, that never arrived. The way they immediately said it was bin Laden. This is not difficult stuff and especially when the government continues to block all investigations into any of the events before or after 9-11. All-in-all, there are too many clues and too much fear!

If only we could turn back the pages of time for just a few hours - but that's a total fantasy. It is obviously part of our task now - to deal with all this political garbage that we've created and dumped upon the world. It's interesting that one needs to be very careful not to become what we have come to hate. While that becomes more trying by the hour - those of us who live in the 'wilderness' have survived too long to cave-in to that particular temptation now.

At times like these there is a temptation to wish for more of us - many more of us - but help only arrives at the last moment in tacky films. In life the good guys usually finish last. Most of us don't tend to 'count' the success or failures in our lives - most just try to live it in the best way that we can. Oh but to have a different agenda for this world right now - a new dawn rising as they say;
Yet this national obsession with war is what we've all been dealt, and this must be - what's next. In the Wilderness, one learns to sometimes loathe what must be done and yet, as individuals we straggle in, to try again to do what is by nature more than difficult. But throughout these days and nights we are reminded:

"That whenever thoughts are heightened, by a stomach clawing at the backbone - the vibrations of the mind are more susceptible to truth."

And: Whenever reason is suppressed in some headlong rush to completely still the voice of opposition - there will always be resistance. The neo-Nazis who now call themselves Americans would do well to discover this oft forgotten truth. The coming global darkness will soon know the gnashing of teeth, and the world will hear again the nearing cry of scavengers, as the Jackals-of-War begin to ravage everything we thought we cherished. But this time we've added nuclear to the mix so now it will not only be the innocent, or the armies of the enemy who will die in the coming onslaught - America will leave many of its own on foreign soil, both on the deserts in Iraq, and elsewhere. This will be a part of the price we'll have to pay for the belligerence and greed of these contemptible Outlaws who planned these days so very long ago - way back in the 1970s. These men and women political failures all - both then and now - are idiots who pride themselves on their designs for new and unrelenting total power. This is a farce because the world will never kneel to the Stars and Stripes! Only fools could believe that this will happen.

This War-on-Freedom was begun to stop terror in its tracks, and we have failed. Afghanistan is reverting to pre-American days. Osama and Omar are still out-there somewhere. Bush and Ashcroft have done what no enemy has ever been able to do - they have stripped us of our individuality, of our right to speak, of our rights to be, and of our Constitution.
If Terror 's goal was to destroy this nation's economy - Bush fulfilled their wildest dreams. If our enemies wanted to see us crushed by our own fears, destroyed by our own greed, and punished by our own political corruption (a corruption that has brought so much hate and pain to so many in the wider world) - then this administration has seen to it that all of this is now in progress - and in only two years time!

But there's a far more precious thing that's been stolen from America than just our economy. We've stood by and watched our politicians and our judges while they presided over the theft of this country. And in that process trust became the first and foremost casualty. Throughout all the political maneuvers, as each compact, treaty, or public understanding was broken before our eyes - each was preceded by yet another blow against the public's trust.

This planet is in trouble, and what's needed are adults - to deal with the gathering storms. It's not just the military adventurer's whose guns won't alter the human condition, except to make things worse. Just as bullets can never stop the ideas that our aggressions have created. No - Wars only create new legions of terrorists. Our armies of military and security people only amplify our failures - in the open and global forums where concepts can be nourished, and new ideas are born.

Once we were free and proud, and now we skulk about in failure and disgrace - knowing that we have become the new nightmare for the world at large. Since January of 2000, we have chosen capitulation over challenge, compliance over resistance and mostly silence over the need for careful questions. We have received exactly what we were unwilling to oppose - welcome to the new dictatorship of total control - control that gives not a damn about anything but itself!

We have failed to understand. We have failed to face our problems- or even to begin to solve them with open eyes. And we still refuse to even learn from the bloody sands of history's hourglass: Bullets and bombs solve nothing, they only breed misery, despair, and far more rebels than we can now imagine.

As a friend recently confided: "Saddam has won because now any and all vestiges of the democratic process will be destroyed the moment our troops start the invasion. Under the guise of security, the Patriot Act will be used to haul anyone off to the Ashcroft Hilton who dares to have an idea differing from the party line. The dumb herd that will be left behind will be given a crust of bread and a six-pack and told to shut up or they won't even get that. It will be the dead governing the dead. A wasteland inhabited by a biomass of human look-alikes without soul, without heart, without spirit."

Is this what we chose to leave to the next generation - and is this the best we can do in the face of a leadership grown fat on Treason?
