Nothing's Simple Anymore

February 8, 2003

Colin Powell went before the United Nations to make the case for war to the assembled nations of the world. To watch his performance was to watch this man destroy any remaining credibility he may have had as a thoughtful force for reason, or for any hope to avert this swirling political malaise that is trying to drag the world to war. USA Incorporated seems to be seeking security for itself in a world that knows very little of security or even of basic survival any more. 'Fortress America' is what we're now trying to sell to the planet, as an ideal that needs to be. But if there is to be any peace for all the others on this globe then we must resist this charade with all our voices raised. In this struggle, the USA has thrown away the lessons of history and trashed all other points of view that differ from its desire to dominate the planet. Ethics, self-responsibility, the rights of other human beings - none of this has any merit in the hooded eyes of those who seek to crush the truth and enslave the peoples of the earth.

HOMELAND SECURITY, a phrase taken directly from the Nazis is now trying to send its tentacles into every facet of American life. Their goal is to first paralyze the nation with apparently impending fear of attack - secretive and foreign attacks upon us as a people.
After that their version of "the fear of fear itself," will be employed to keep us quiet and submissive - while we're being driven into penury - and to submission in schemes and plots too numerous to mention here.

Wars are mostly fought for money, or for access to even-greater wealth. And this administration is using the US Dollar as a lethal weapon of war and to punish those who need it for survival. That's why the aircraft's intake openings are filled with symbols from the mighty 'Buck.' The Bush administration has driven the deficit up by nearly a trillion dollars, and that's only the part that shows!

Global destabilization seems to be the goal. Because wherever war is master, much can be stolen while all-out chaos reigns. The scale of this power-grab goes far beyond anything that history has ever recorded, but if we are to survive, we must all begin to get involved and do whatever we can, to prevent this nightmare from becoming fact.

We've become the human form below the Citadel: America itself is in danger of becoming petrified - our dreams are on the verge of returning to nothing more than broken stones. Our forward progress has begun to feel the weight of our possessions; and our individual concern for any future of our way of life, seems to be sinking like the figure that supports the castle. Our spirits are still very much alive, as in the vigor of the dragon, but now we must do more than listen - we must rise - we must begin to act or we will sink into submission. If that happens then the Outlaws win - and individually we'll be nothing more than footnotes in a tale of woe that will surpass anything this world has ever known.
What Powell was trying to sell the world was Fear. We should listen! But the fear that we should be aware of - is of Powell and of all those that he has come to stand for.

Deceit, dishonor, lies and hate - that's what the outlaws are selling. We went to war in Afghanistan to rid the world of terror and we failed: and

now we're even going backward over there as well.

In country after country the lid is in the process of 'coming off' the checks and balances that have kept all our darker dreams from roaming through the world at will. In North Korea, they continue to raise the stakes, continue to push for recognition - all they're demanding at this point is dialogue. Yet the personal ire of Bush will not allow him to even open talks with so formidable a potential foe, as North Korea. http://64.176.94.191/article1226.htm

This is a land where the people are starving now, where the government builds weapons and sells them to all those on our lists of outlaw nations - yet we will not even talk to them, because "we're too busy with Iraq." North Korea is doing, and has done; all that Saddam has been accused of and much more. The people there are enslaved and have been for years. As a nation state North Korea has remained outside the family of nations for over fifty years. Yet even this is not a reason for the mighty USA to even pause or to have some conversations on the subject; just to speak with their leaders who say they only want to talk? Is this a sane response from the Bush administration?

On February 1st there was a comment from an Israeli professor and military historian in defense of Israeli policies that seek to solve the Palestinian question by "collective deportation." Unfortunately the Professor began his remarks this way: "

Israel could avenge the holocaust by annihilating millions of Germans and other Europeans Professor Martin Van Crevel said Israel had the capability of hitting most European capitals with nuclear weapons.

"We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets of our air force."

Creveld argued that Israel wouldn't care much about becoming a rouge state.

"Our armed forces are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that this will happen before Israel goes under."

This is just another example of what might begin to happen fully, once we begin our little war game in the Middle East. And of course with each new attack upon global civility, human rights and a decent respect for the laws of other nations - the chances of total war increase. And barring that most extreme view, at the very least what will happen to the US will begin to look a lot like the way the people in Israel are forced to live today: http://www.prisonplanet.com/analysis_schelstrate_020603_israel.html

This is not a computer game, or a Hollywood film - real people will fight and die on all sides. Human beings will become fodder for acts of carnage and chaos that may not respond to any attempts to put the obscenity of war back in its dark and forbidding place. Global Acts of Aggression are not something that the United States of America should be begging the planet to join in committing. If we were any kind of civil nation at all - we should be begging the world NOT to disregard the safeguards, which the Nuremberg tribunals tried to put in place, just to keep our world at peace.

We must listen to that fire within ourselves, that voice of private conscience. How can we send our sons and daughters out to kill, to maim, and to possibly pollute the entire planet with all of our own weapons of mass destruction - without first establishing the true reasons for the

service that we're about to ask of them.

Do we not owe these bright and promising young people of ours the truth about the missions they'll be asked to undertake? They are not being sent into 'Harm's Way' to protect us from an impending attack - no. This military armada is being formed to invade another nation to steal their oil and resources and to establish an American presence in countries where we are not only not wanted - but also hated!

The true purpose behind this aggression is to profit a few chicken hawks, and some miserable opportunists dressed up as politicians - so that they can steal even more ill gotten gains to go with what they've already amassed under the political cover of a pre-paid media darkness.

Nothing may be simple anymore - but neither should we allow the world to be reduced to the black and white of absolutes. The Bush administration has said that Iraq has ten days from the 5th of February to prove itself innocent of the possession of whatever we claim they might still have. So - unless the world stands up to these bully's-in-the-guise-of-liberators there will be war. All of us who have not spoken-will certainly own at least a part of that decision.
