"A dictatorship
would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it." -
President George W. Bush
Fresh from his victory over the
economy and with his grip on congress clearly evident - Bush now begins the
final phase of the de facto integration of our 51st state that just happens
to be located in the Middle East. After all we're giving them far more money
than we give to any of our own states now.
Meanwhile the 04 campaign is
beginning, with the difference this time being that we have three candidates
on the neo-conservative slate, Cheney-BUSH & Sharon. The first thought
that comes to mind is why do we bother with the pretense? What's the point
of retaining a completely complicit congress, and their associates in high
crimes and misdemeanors - that moribund and pompous nine on the Supreme
Court of the United States? They gave up their mandate and their
constitutional authority on December 12, 2000.

Why not just recognize the
situation that now is - the United States of America has had a coup and the
winner has declared a Dictatorship.
The sooner this nation stops
pretending that its people have anything to say about our politics or our
Foreign Policies, the sooner all the financially interested groups and
individuals can get down to dividing up whatever may be left of the dreams
of all the rest of us. This needs to happen if for no other reason, than to
simply avoid the continuing need to repeat such a fantastic stream of
obvious lies.
Let's just disband the government,
and give all those tedious records (personal, private, medical and
financial), to private enterprise, including that mountain of red tape from
all the circuitous agencies that have spent decades amassing such useless
and trivial information on every citizen that has ever lived and every event
that has ever happened. That - is what this government has succeeded in
doing already - in its outrageous seizure of all our rights and privileges
under the USA PATRIOT Act. Since it is clear that our social programs have
been disemboweled by the insatiable needs of the U.S. Department of WAR -
why should we bother to retain the empty shells of those constructs - let's
just cut to the chase and call it like it is. The USA is now the world's
leading Dictatorship!
And while we're at it, why not just
drop the pretense that the States of the United States have any say in what
the Federal government does or does not do? Each state must now accept the
fact that they, like the citizenry have become unimportant dead weight
within this new focus of the tyrannical bandits who have not-so-quietly
stolen this country.
We should also drop all pretense
about our professional journalists (most of whom have long since forgotten
that every story has more than one side) - and just lump our so-called
'independent Networks into a single and more efficient " U.S. Ministry
of Information." That way there would be no more conflict between what
the White House says and actual events. Under this new information ministry
there would be only one point of view about whatever is reported (which is
the fact now anyway). Events that happen, that might not be in agreement
with the Dictatorship will not only be forbidden, but the ministry could
then openly lead the charge to track down all those that disagree with
anything that the dictatorship demands of anyone (in the mode of
"America's Most Wanted"). Welcome to 1984 - revisited. This would
cut out the need to pretend that there is another viewpoint, and allow the
more efficient use of propaganda to solidify our new fascist base.
Corporate-Militaristic-Capitalism is now our international stock in trade,
and Fascism is our actual mode of dealing with all those who disagree with
the principles or the practices of our shiny new dictatorship.

The above by the way fits the
pattern that the Bush mal-administration has been following since George the
Lesser 'took' the office. This has all been done before: In fact it just
aired on national television in a four hour mini-documentary from CBS called
"HITLER - the rise of evil." This program had to have been seen by
millions of Americans and if those who saw this weren't completely brain
dead - the facts of the story in this phase of Hitler's rise to power seemed
uncomfortably close to every action our Dictator has taken upon this nation
- which intensified immediately after September 11th. Even the names of
programs such as "HOMELAND Security" came straight from the
records of Nazi Germany. The situation concerning the roundup of
"enemies of the state" and the "detention without
charges" not to mention the suspension of "freedom of speech"
and "freedom of movement" also comes directly from the Nazi's
records of how they dealt with their political opposition in 1934. In
addition FEMA has a plan called "Garden Plot" that has been
configured to create the same kinds of camps here that Hitler found so
useful for dealing with dissent in his attempt to solidify his Dictatorship
over the formerly free Republic of Germany.

"Bullshit!" you say?
It is way past time for people here to
start to look around and to begin to listen to what is going on.
Unfortunately too many still believe in the 'illusions' they are living.
When you have been fired or laid off or marginalized - you may find that the
world begins to look a lot different to you then - than it does now. You may
also discover just how many real friends you have.
There is a very real and
extremely hard life being lived by millions of people who do not enjoy
anything like the same rights and privileges, as do the currently
employed. The USA really is a divided country, a nation who speaks and
acts with two tongues, and two completely different sets of values and
services. We attack welfare for the poor and the dispossessed, but we
champion corporate welfare for the rich and powerful. We slash services
and programs for ordinary people but we reward the insiders with obscenely
generous and very secret contracts, that are bleeding this nation dry.
This mini-course in whether the
glass of national life is half-full or half-empty will soon be coming to a
great many of those now still employed in the Federal government - who are
soon to join the ranks of the unemployed - come July 1, 2003. And since
ex-employees of the government from the lower echelons are not high on
anyone's list of "must hires" there will be a large number of
rather angry folks who were once very content with life in these"
bountiful" United States. There will be many who may suddenly
discover that a parallel and extremely ugly world has co-existed right
along side their little paradise for all these years. The only difference
will be that now these newly unemployed will soon come to know how the
other half has not been able to live - first hand. And that will be
fabulous! Funny, how reality has a way of bringing the real bullshit home
to roost.
We need to just get on with it -
and stop the pretense. As a very wise person once said:
"It's not a prison if you
haven't tried the door." We could learn a lot from that fact!
