Speak Now or Forever Hold your Peace

April 16, 2003

Crème-Puff, our would-be-King, is at it again. It seems that all those glitzy television graphics about 'War in-on-or-over Iraq' have been a lie. What our befuddled leader really meant to say to the world is that this is his (and America's) new "Pathway to Peace." Of course that shining new path will be paved with thousands of the uncounted dead and wounded

(we didn't bother to count just how many there were) in this opening act. This is a three part stunner - called "Making the World Safe for our step-child State" - that would be the bad-seed creation that is now known as Israel.

What is becoming clear now as the Invaders wrap up their thoroughly illegal attack upon Iraq, is that this is and always was a war upon the Muslim world. A war that is and was designed to give our 'masters' the kind of superiority in the region, which many extremists in our stepchild state feel that they deserve.

After all these years, more than half a century has passed since the world first began to try and fit the Zionist ideal into that troubled land of Palestine. Many ideas have been offered, many wars have already been fought, and still there is no agreement on how this should be accomplished. Now comes the true conqueror of all problems on the planet - our very own dictator, "Crème-Puff" the man who fears everything and everyone.

George Junior is afraid of ideas; he's discomfited by dialogue, and he's positively terrified of questions in whatever form. His troops shoot people who dare to question his actions, and those who survive are to be locked away in perpetuity - for their crime of disagreeing with the Crème Puff, and or his band of merry thieves and felons. Hell of a solution Dubya - Why waste time talking when we could be killing people by the thousands. Why look for something as nonsensical as 'Weapons-of-Mass-Destruction' when we could be staging media events for the world in order to try again to misinform the planet as to your tactics and your purposes? Along the way we've decided to create new language (actually the new slogans were stolen from George Orwell) - but since the Gang obviously doesn't read much, that doesn't really matter.

The smoke has yet to clear from the land over which it still hangs like the black cloud of criminality that it actually is. But already the USA has moved on to our next target using exactly the same lies and the same innuendoes that were so transparently false in justifying this most recent slaughter of so many more in the name of freedom and democracy. So Crème-Puff has proven yet again that he believes that 'Lies are Truth' and that 'Slavery is Freedom.' But the administration is still working on the really big one - because to prove that 'War is Peace' he'll need to destroy another couple of countries just to make that point.

Along the way there are still some nagging questions (those always-pesky thorns that can rip holes in his pristine plans to take over the world). For instance how is it that there is now only room on the planet for one view of life, of business, or of philosophy? Why is there no room for disagreement, no quarter given to those whose life experience runs counter to Crème-Puff's untried and wildly unworkable schemes? What happened to diplomacy and dialogue, to statecraft and personal honor in international affairs? I know the gang believes that's all just 20th century stuff - definitely gone now in this sparkling new age that Crème-Puff opened with two wars, and now he's on his way to a third. That has to be some kind of record, especially for an American President who answers only to Ariel Sharon. Well all that may change soon. No doubt the followers of Crème-Puff will be moving the headquarters of the United Nations out of the USA - soon. Perhaps at the same time we should just move the current government of our warlords to Tel Aviv - to eliminate any further confusion about whose agenda this gang of 'American' thugs actually represents.

That might be confusing for many Americans who thought that their taxes were supposed to be paying for their own interests - schools, medicine, jobs, security - all that stuff that Crème-Puff can't be bothered funding anymore. Because he's "Got a war on!" But after we move our government to Israel, everyone will be less confused about who is actually calling the shots here, and whose interests will be paid for with our money. Now that would truly constitute a breakthrough in 'public disclosure' policy. Since we're already adopting Israeli ideas about how one goes about making peace with one's neighbors. Israel began by partitioning their neighbors behind barbed wire, shooting them if they challenged authority, and destroying not only them but also their family and their possessions if they persisted in complaining about their treatment. The USA isn't quite there yet, but we're working on it Ariel!

The Israeli's only took the homes of the Palestinians; we took the whole country of Iraq. Soon we'll be sending in the armored bulldozers to bury whatever evidence might remain of what was done so very recently - in the name of freedom and democracy of course. . But surely we can be forgiven for our aggression because in reality we were only there to "liberate the people of Iraq" from their ability to live their own lives.

Now the plan calls for regime change in so many more countries that it's becoming ridiculous. Apparently the one regime change that could truly make a difference in the world at this moment is our own. But Crème-Puff is hopelessly delusional on that topic, and it might drive our would-be-King to seek permanent divinity as simply "God-of-the-whole-planet."

How much longer will Americans put up with this idiot that calls himself infallible? How many more people will need to die to fulfill the fantasies of a small group of misfits, thieves and felons - and all because we cannot come together to end this nightmare? "Once upon a time in a world far, far away" as the preface to Star Wars begins: we were a proud and prosperous nation. We were a people composed of all the people's of the earth - admittedly without complete equality - but with some possibility that life was on the whole moving toward something better for all people.  It was an ideal, but to work it required the participation of all its citizens, and we just couldn't be bothered. So we let things slip, and slip some more and very soon we had a country (no longer a nation) where only the rich escape the tyranny, only the wealthy can do as they please, and all of the remainder is just that - excess baggage. The vast majority of us have no rights any longer, no say in any of the decisions that this government makes in our names - whether that's an illegal war on a down-trodden land that we've been bombing for 12 years prior to our glorious invasion, or just the simple breaking of all faith with the voters, on every promise made, including the oath of office.

'America' the ideal of nationhood, that beacon for the world of hope and light, of possibilities and human promise - is no more. We've become that comic-book version of empire that plays out its fantasies, in much the same way that George Lucas did in his film series Star Wars.

The difference is that the characters that are shot here and now are dead forever. The ideals that are thrown away are gone forever. This is not a movie, this is real life and as citizens of the world we cannot allow this farce to continue to lay claim to all that humanity has built over all these centuries. Are we and our way of life to end up like the contents of the Museum of Antiquities in Baghdad, which is now nothing but an empty shell? Has our time upon this planet been so worthless that we will allow this bumpkin and his Band of Bullies to seize the whole world while we only watch events unfold, like some flawed game that no one wants to play but no one dares to try and stop?

The choice is still ours - but time is running out. As the saying in the marriage ceremony goes: "Speak now or forever hold your peace." We are all at that alter now - with "Crème-Puff" - and if we fail to speak out against this travesty against all humanity, then we are that 'enemy' that this world has come to know and hate - so very much.
