What Happened to Us?

It began with the decision by the United States Supreme Court on December 12th, 2000. On that day, the court crossed the line that separates the administrative and the judicial branches of the federal government. 

Was this legal - no! Can it be appealed - no! This amounted to a blatantly unconstitutional seizure of the Office of the Presidency of the United States. And the silence from both the public and the Congress that followed this action, virtually insured that this rest of this treasonous plan concocted as far back as the 1970s could proceed.

Almost immediately domestic security controls began to appear in midnight sessions of Congress. The USA PATRIOT Act, a nightmare hatched by Cheney and Rumsfeld when they worked together back in the Ford administration, was passed by congress without even being read by the members. Because of this, the United States of America, formerly a representative democracy in name only, now ceased to be even that. From that time forward, we have seen all manner of government efforts to shut down dissent, disguised as security measures "to protect the American people, in a time of WAR"

When questions began to surface about the effectiveness or failures of our intelligence services and or military operations - the public was given a plan to re-organize the entire federal government, as the solution to all our unexamined failures from 9-11 to that point in time, which was approaching one year after.

After the passage of HOMELAND SECURITY, and the USA PATRIOT Act, the administrative stage was set to proceed with their completion of the shutdown of dissent.

Faced with a growing reluctance both at home and abroad for his 'plans for the planet,' - Dubya and his trolls have re-hired some felons and other criminals, from previous failed administrations, to bolster their efforts to conquer all doubts about the actual state of world. All the old tarnished names are back to help destabilize the Southern hemisphere of the Americas while continuing to promote chaos in the Middle East. As a way to continue to frustrate the public's demand for answers to what actually went wrong with our defenses, both in intelligence and in military response to the events of 9-11: Gee Dubya appointed another war criminal to head the commission to investigate - read cover-up - everything of consequence that happened in relation to that event. However Kissinger couldn't stand the potential heat of pubic oversight - and so had to resign as head of that commission before they even began. But the newly appointed members to this panel are not known for valor in the face of controversy, so the world will again be denied the facts of yet another major turning point in the life of the nation and the world.

This entire War on Freedom has amounted to a huge undertaking for King George, as he came into office with an enormous budget surplus, and a fully employed nation that existed in a world that was more-or-less at peace. So far, and after only half his time in office, Bush has managed to eliminate one of the largest budget surpluses ever by giving over $1.3 trillion mostly to the rich, while creating two wars and now beginning to work on a third with North Korea. In addition Rumsfeld, our new Secretary of Offense, now enthusiastically tells us that there are still more enemy states that we need to neutralize, before the U.S. can rest from our Herculean task of making the world safe for Democracy.

This last touch required taxpayers to pay for an obscene amount of military muscle, while foregoing any and all government expenditures that were to have gone for goods and services that were the reason for those taxes in the first place. It is a fact that no nation can pay for "both guns and butter." And this 'Thief-in-Chief" wearing his hat as Commander-in-Chief has decreed that we will do exactly that.

The truth is we have already mortgaged our own future, in exchange for an invisible shield of SECURITY from all the enemy's that we now have, in order that this little group of criminals can "take over the world." This is not a viable arrangement, and while the administration has been vigorously creating imaginary enemies, they have also managed to create an all too real opposition from a wide spectrum of people around the globe. And no matter how militarily powerful the US might think it is - we cannot make war upon the entire planet and have even a hope of winning.

So what are we to do about the convoluted seizure of this Republic that we used to live in? Several things are finally beginning to take place. In city after city across the land citizen initiates are being passed opposing the tyranny of the USA PATRIOT Act, and refusing to comply with some of the stricter terms of that bogus piece of unconstitutional trash.

We should remember: "Our country currently spends more on weapons than all the other nations of the world combined. We are a threat to the rest of the world. We export so much violent influence we can no longer keep track of where it begins or ends. And finally it is really up to us as individuals. The tyranny that has been perpetrated upon this nation and its citizens can only continue so long as we allow it to continue. The taxes that we pay are the flesh and blood of this war machine that threatens the world with World War III. So if, 'Taxation without representation was Tyranny!' in the Revolutionary War - then why isn't - Treason against the people by their government today not a crime? *
